Callisto

Callisto is an utterly gorgeous 3-year old tortie. She has the sweetest temperament of any cat you have ever met, while still brimming with naughtiness and spunk. She makes friends easily with other cats and people...she even managed to win over the stubborn Artemis finally. She is very protective of the ones she loves - she has gone and "rescued" Artemis from threatening intruder cats before.

Callie absolutely loves the outdoors. There's nothing she enjoys more than sitting in the sunshine, and rolling around in mud. A home with a yard is an absolute must for her. This cat is the very definition of low-maintenance, while at the same time returning love and softness in abundance. She will kill for catnip, though.

Callie was adopted from the shelter as a 6-month old kitten, and I hit the jackpot with her. She loves other cats, but is terrified of dogs. She has not been around children, but I think she has the temperament for it.

She is an exceptionally healthy cat - hasn't even thrown up a furball as far as I can tell. Ideally, I'd like her to be re-homed along with Artemis, because they complement each other well.

The reason I have made the very difficult decision to re-home my two cats is because my job requires long hours and relentless travel, leaving them alone most of the time. Ideally, I would like to re-home Callisto somewhere in the Bay Area, in a home where she gets high-quality nutrition, is around people, and gets free outdoor access, fresh air and sunshine.

Artemis

Artemis is a 9-year old purebred Bengal cat. She has grown up in the same loving home since she was 8 weeks old. She is highly curious, and not scared of anything. She loves to be around people and action. She enjoys getting some fresh air and sunshine, but would much rather be around people than by herself outdoors. She loves to cuddle up with you to sleep. She has been leash-trained, and really enjoys walks on the leash.

She takes time to warm up to new people, but is intensely loyal once she does - rather dog-like. She isn't a typical lap cat - she needs to come to you when she decides. She has no health problems, and has never been sick in her life. A very healthy, active, curious, energetic animal.

She does not take easily to other cats, but after a long, healthy battle, has learned to enjoy the company of my other cat, Callisto. That is why I would prefer to re-home them together. She has never lived with a dog - or with children. It is possible she could adjust to those (because she *is* highly curious), but she will need time to adjust to these situations.
