Artemis is a 9-year old purebred Bengal cat. She has grown up in the same loving home since she was 8 weeks old. She is highly curious, and not scared of anything. She loves to be around people and action. She enjoys getting some fresh air and sunshine, but would much rather be around people than by herself outdoors. She loves to cuddle up with you to sleep. She has been leash-trained, and really enjoys walks on the leash.
She takes time to warm up to new people, but is intensely loyal once she does - rather dog-like. She isn't a typical lap cat - she needs to come to you when she decides. She has no health problems, and has never been sick in her life. A very healthy, active, curious, energetic animal.
She does not take easily to other cats, but after a long, healthy battle, has learned to enjoy the company of my other cat, Callisto. That is why I would prefer to re-home them together. She has never lived with a dog - or with children. It is possible she could adjust to those (because she *is* highly curious), but she will need time to adjust to these situations.
The reason I have made the very difficult decision to re-home my two cats is because my job requires long hours and relentless travel, leaving them alone most of the time. Ideally, I would like to re-home Artemis somewhere in the Bay Area, in a home where she gets high-quality nutrition, is around people, and gets some fresh air and sunshine.
